Boarding the Tantive IV 75387
Remember that iconic scene in Star Wars: A New Hope when Darth Vader marches down a corridor, followed by stormtroopers, and force chokes Captain Antilles, the rebel captain? Well now we can finally recreate this scene using Lego bricks!
This set is expected to release March 1st, 2024.
This new Lego set features 7 minifigures and 502 pieces all for a price of $54.99. It will release at Lego stores and at LEGO.com.
Releasing on March 1st, 2024, this set features a two-walled corridor (two walls are missing so that you can display it easily, without blocking view of the interior). This seems similar to the now-retired Luke Skywalker vs. Dark Trooper Attack set.
The scene includes some interesting details that really add to it. For example, a transparent brick is included as a piece that can be set below Captain Antilles’ feet—thus making him look like he’s floating and, with his head flipped, being force-choked. Inside the corridor, we can also see an open-able door (done so with a lever that is supposed to make it look like the door is blasted open), and little levers that allow you to pop minifigures off the ground and make them topple and fall down.
At the end of the corridor are connectors, allowing you to add more corridors. If you end up purchasing more than one of this same set, you can connect them to create a longer hallway.
This model will be 8.5 in. / 22 cm long, 5 in. / 13 cm wide, and 3 in. / 8 cm tall.
Minifigures
By far the best part of this set is the minifigures—especially the inclusion of an exclusive minifigure, which we’ll get back to here in a second.
There are a total of 7 minifigures in this set: Darth Vader (appearing as the same Darth Vader in several recent Lego sets), 2 Stormtrooper minifigures, The Rebel Captain Antilles, 2 Rebel Fleet Trooper minifigures, and an exclusive ARC Trooper Fives. Except for the special clone trooper, all of these minifigures are, unfortunately, minifigures that aren’t exclusive to this Lego set. This exact Antilles already came in the 2019 Tantive IV, and the rebels come in some other sets such as the new Yavin 4 Rebel Base. This edition of Darth Vader and his stormtroopers already appear in several sets as well.
The special minifigure is a Lego Star Wars 25th anniversary figure. It comes with a display stand and is perfect for Star Wars and Lego collectors. To me, the figure looks very well designed with printed arms and details—honestly I think this looks awesome—like something you’d see in some kind of Lego Series. ARC Trooper Fives comes with two blasters, a neck pauldron, a backpack, and an antenna. He is definitely the selling point, at least for collectors, to buy this new upcoming Lego set. His design is well-done, with blue and gray portions, and highly detailed prints covering his helmet, torso, arms, legs, and feet. The stand he comes with appears to be printed as well, though it may be a sticker. From the pictures, we can see that it shows off a 25 logo for Lego’s Star Wars anniversary.
What do you think about this set? If you’re a Lego Star Wars fan like me, you’re probably pumped to see this exclusive minifigure! I think the set is awesome and is 100% one I’m going to buy at some point. Let me know in the comments what you think.
