The new Lego Metkayina Reef Home 75578 set is based on the fishing village that appears in the second and new Avatar movie–Avatar: The Way of Water. Today, I will be going through the details of this set and I will be talking about the village model and the minifigures included.

What’s in the box?
This set includes 528 pieces, four minifigures, an instruction manual, and two plastic tent pieces.
Looking at the instructions first, something notable is the images inside. Like other Avatar Lego sets, the instructions show off what the Lego build represents.
Next, let’s look at the model itself. As one of the tents from the Metkayina Reef Village, this set uses thin plastic pieces to create the tent-like part of it. These are made from the same material as the wings of the birds and sea-creatures in the other Avatar sets. Though it looks good itself, I don’t think the tent looks exactly like the one in the movie, and it is clearly shaped differently, though I still like the addition of the plastic roof. The reef home includes many details, such as a cooking pot, some tools, and food.
The four minifigures include Kiri, Neytiri, Ronal, and Tonowari. Kiri and Ronal don’t appear in other Lego Avatar sets, which makes a plus of buying this set. Overall, the minifigures are well-designed and I wouldn’t say I have any complaints.
My Thoughts?
I liked this set, though this one doesn’t include any alien animals like other Avatar sets, so another Avatar set may be better for someone who doesn’t yet have any Avatar themed Lego. For example, Jake & Neytiri s First Banshee Flight and Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch
would be my favorite sets from the Lego Avatar theme. I also wish it included one or two more minifigures for the price. I do, though, like the minifigures included, such as the lighter blue Na’vi people.
