The Lego Disney Castle just retired—but now it’s back!
Lego just recently announced a new Disney Castle set coming July 4th (VIPs will be able to get it early on July 1st). It will be priced at $399.99 and is marked as a collector’s edition in a special Disney 100 box for a limited time.
Although we just recently had a Disney Castle set, I am still really excited about this one—especially for the new minifigures based on Disney princes and princesses. The set will feature eight characters with four princesses; Snow White, Cinderella, Tiana, and Rapunzel, with their respective princes; Prince Florian, Prince Charming, Prince Naveen, and Flynn Rider.
My favorite minifigures from this list are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, I’m so excited to see these characters exist as Lego minifigures!
I think these minifigures are super cool and will be perfect for display and adding to our new Lego Disney 100 collectible minifigures. I’m especially excited about these minifigures because, though we have received them as minidolls, none of them have been featured as minifigures before in a Lego set, aside from Tiana who has an appearance in the new Disney 100 minifigure series.
The set itself looks very similar to the original Lego Disney Castle set but sports a slightly different color scheme, which I think looks better personally. The set will include references to many Disney movie classics inside the build; including a hidden time capsule commemorating Disney’s 100th anniversary.
I will be writing more about this set the day it releases, which will be July 4th. Let me know in the comments if you think it is better than the first castle and what you think about them announcing a new one so soon.
