One of the coolest Lego sets coming in October is the new Viking Village 21343 set. It fits right with last year’s Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent set and will be releasing this October. Fortunately, though, we can purchase it today before it even releases!
In this article, I will tell you a little bit about the set and also provide links to the pre-order page.
Priced at $129.99 and available only at Lego.com, the Viking Village will have 2103 pieces, yet only four minifigures. The Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent
had four minifigures as well yet was smaller and priced at $119.99, so I wish more Vikings or at least some animals were included in this larger set. One nice thing about this set, though, is that these minifigures will include many accessories, such as helmets, weapons, tools, food, and decorated shields.
The village appears to have three wooden buildings (a blacksmith’s smithy, a chieftain’s longhouse, and a watchtower) and a bridge. Each building has a removable roof/wall so you can see the interior easily. On Lego.com you can see further details, such as a forge and a mining cave.
This set makes a perfect purchase or gift for someone who is fascinated with medieval history, Vikings, or historic Lego sets. I personally really like historic Lego sets like this, especially when minifigures are included and the model is designed at minifigure-scale.
