Top 5 2023 Lego Sets Under $40

Lego has made some interesting sets this year, though it seems many of the coolest sets cost hundreds of dollars. That’s why I put together a list of the top inexpensive sets under 40$. I looked for some of the top rated sets ranging from $20 to $35 and included Lego’s most popular themes.

I also included some links to Lego.com product pages. I recommend purchasing Lego’s from this site, as you can get free shipping for any order above $35 and you can gain VIP points for every purchase—which can later be used to get discounts and prizes. You can sign up for Lego VIP at Lego.com.

Also check out Lego’s sales. It looks like some sets will be discounted until July 20th. Shop sets on sale from 20% off and up! Sale ends July 20th

1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Baby Rocket’s Ship

Guardians of the Galaxy: Baby Rocket’s Ship

Based on the latest Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy movie, this set features Baby Rocket, his ship, and an adult Rocket Raccoon. This set was the highest rated on this list and five-stars on Lego.com, so I included it as the first item. It only costs $34.99 and its details can be found at this link: Baby Rocket’s Ship

2. Star Wars: 501st Clone Troopers Pack

This is a nice, small set that provides buyers with four Star Wars clone minifigures. Clones are always good to have, especially if you are a Star Wars fan, a Lego fan trying to build a massive Clone army, or someone looking for a gift for their kid. The set is only $19.99 and is perfect as something inexpensive, but still includes a handful of minifigs. You can see this set at this link: 501st Clone Troopers” Battle Pack

3. Indiana Jones: Fighter Plane Chase

Next up on the list is an Indiana Jones Lego set. Similar to Clone pack, this one is rated almost five stars on Lego.com. This set is based on Indiana Jones’ third movie: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and includes Indiana Jones’ father, Henry Jones Sr. The set is packed with accessories, includes three minifigures, and is priced at $34.99. See this set here: Fighter Plane Chase

4. Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus Ambush

This set is one of Lego’s new Jurassic Park sets based on the original movies. This specific set is fun because it includes a dilophosaurus dinosaur, a Dennis Nedry minifigure, and a Jurassic Park vehicle. It makes a great gift for kids who love dinosaurs and fans of the original Jurassic movies. This set came in a wave of 5 other classic Jurassic Parks sets that came out this year. This set is priced at $19.99. I included a link to the set here: Dilophosaurus Ambush

5. Harry Potter House Banners

Okay, this one counts as four sets, but I had to include one set for each Harry Potter House. These sets feature the common rooms for each Harry Potter House, including Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. The sets are neat and each cost $34.99. All of the sets include tons of details and each have three minifigures based on the House the set displays. The best part is each folds up from the common room model into a model of the House’s specific banner. Buy them all, so you can own all Harry Potter common rooms and banners, or just buy the one based on the House you belong in. You can find them here:
