Treasure Hunt for a Million Lego Points

Lego Insiders is officially live, and a surprise came with it—a digital Lego treasure hunt. In this new pirate-themed treasure hunt, you can use your smartphone to claim prizes ‘hidden’ in Lego pieces. This hunt will officially be hosted by Lego and can be played at Lego.com.

How to Join?

In order to join the treasure hunt, you must first create an account on Lego.com. If you already had a VIP account, you will automatically be given a Lego Insiders account with the same username and password. If not, you can create an account one Lego.com then by clicking the yellow Lego minifigure head in the top right corner of the site. (You can technically join the hunt without an account, but you will not be able to claim any of the prizes).

After you have created an account, you can go here to try the new treasure hunt.

How does it Work?

Now that you’ve joined and used this link, you can start the hunt. To do this, you simply grab any Lego piece you own, put it in front of your smartphone’s camera (which should be turned on after following the prompts on the link), then by clicking ‘Scan Brick’. Next, as long as you used a real Lego piece with the Lego logos, you will receive a mystery prize.

What are the Prizes?

There are several prizes you can earn from this hunt. By scanning bricks, you may receive a digital golden brick. Each golden brick gives you one entry to earn a million Lego points! Unfortunately, not very many people will actually get a million Lego points, as this adds up to around $9,000 worth of Lego sets. Each golden brick gives you other prizes that can be obtained as well, including digital download coloring sheets, Lego Tower App digital items, and digital comic books.
